I have now been reunited with my stash, having finally made the move from Altares on Terceira to Calheta on Sao Jorge. I have a little sewing room which looks east, all of my quilts have been unpacked and the lady who formerly owned the house has left behind her hexie quilt made from scraps of crimplene and other man-made fibres. Lovely!
Although it has a limited supply, I want to patronise the shop in Velas which sells patchwork fabric - it will become my main source in the future as I want to shop locally; it's either use it or lose it.
The photo is the view from the road of the new house in Calheta, overlooking the Canal de Sao Jorge. The island opposite is Pico, dominated by the volcano of the same name.
